Reno Omokri, founder of a multimedia project, Build Up Nigeria and Pastor of the Mind of Christ Christian Center in California and Abuja, has rebuffed claims that Christianity as many Nigerians believed came from White men.
He described those set of people as ignorant.

"Christianity is not a White man’s religion as some ignorantly posit. Judaism started in Africa. Moses was married to a Black African (Numbers 12:1). Her father was Moses’s mentor (Exodus 18:24). Christ was not White. And the first non Jewish Christian was an African (Acts 8:38). More importantly, Muslims are not the enemies of Christians. Long before our ancestors converted to Christianity, Persians and Arabians were awaiting the birth of the Messiah, Christ. The wisemen who brought Him gifts were not Jews or Christians. They were Persians and Arabians. Ancestors of today’s Muslims".

He also said Africa is a place where people come to take refuge in the time of trouble.
