Controversial investigative journalists Dr Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo has stated that she no longer wish to be address as a "Yoruba woman" . The 55-year old journalist said she wants to be addressed as "Nigerian woman".
In a post accompanied with a screenshot photo of her profile on Wikipedia she wrote:
Effective today May 16th 2020, I no longer wish to be addressed as a "Yoruba" woman. I will only be referred to as a "Nigerian woman." I am proud of my country and my heritage is Nigeria. I no longer want to be associated with an ethnic group. Yoruba represents a language I cannot read or write but speak fluently. I also speak other languages in Nigeria. I will no longer allow ethnicity bias or gains in my life. Pls take note.

You can recall that Kemi Olunloyo Facebook account was banned earlier this month for some days after she stirred up controversies when she alleged that Igbo girls are least educated in Nigeria because their icons don't empower them.
