Could Leo Messi return to his Boyhood club? Who knows? There was parade in the city of Rosario. Fans gather yesterday in the city to make their case known as they wore Messi customised caps and displayed some fireworks in a bid to lure their boy back home to where he started 🎇.
Messi started at Newell’s before leaving in 2001 for Barcelona at the age of 13 where he has spent over 20 years.
Base on videos and pictures that surfaced online, it looks as though the club’s fans are doing their part to send a message to him to try and convince him over a return to his homeland.
You will recall that Leo Messi reportedly sent a fax to Barcelona board last Tuesday requesting that they trigger a clause in his contract that would allow him leave for nothing with immediate effect.
Reports has it that his father flew to England to negotiate a deal for him with Manchester City. According to Marca, a sport dailies in Spain claimed that Messi called Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola last Tuesday - before telling Barcelona he wants to leave.
