Barcelona last game against Levante has summarised the level of bad form in which the Catalan club find themselves. Imagine blowing out a 2-0 lead and drawing to lowly side Levante is hard to take. The most painful is that the chance of winning the La Liga is getting slimmer than ever. Barcelona now trails leader Athletico Madrid with one point, having played more.
Barcelona have been inconsistent throughout the season. There was a time where many thought Barcelona were not gonna be in Champions League and then there was a time when we thought we might win La Liga and now this hurts. Sometimes I just feel only Messi is playing well consistently and sometimes De Jong , Griezmann , Dembele and Pedri. We need a manger who can give consistent results.
2. Lack of tactics:
Koeman 3–5–2 , 3–4–2–1 have been good but these are not the formations you always go for. For example against Atleti we should have used a 4=3–3 with Dembele so that there is someone tear their compact defense. He substituted Arujao with Roberto at halftime I don’t think so even Setien or Valverde would have made those decisions.
3. Treatment Given to some Players:
Treatment given to Riqui Puig is intolerable. He was so good last season but this season he is not even getting chances. Iliax Moriba is getting so many chances even after not proving himself. This is unacceptable.
The last game Trincao played he scored two goals and played so well but now he is not even getting chance.
Matheus Fernandes , Pjanic and Samuel Umtiti are not even getting chances to prove themselves. Even Junior Firpo had a good game vs PSG but since then even he has not played.
4. Record against big clubs:
Barcelona has only won one game against Big Clubs in the whole campaign which was Juve without Ronaldo . We have lost to Real Madrid twice , Atletico (one lost one drew) , PSG (one lost one drew) and Juventus without Ronaldo. This is definitely not convincing.
5. Managerial Profile:
Ronald Koeman does not have a very great managerial history like Pep , Jose , Carlo in fact he has done average job everywhere (except the dutch team). If he had a great managerial record there would have been hopes that he could do well.
