See Players Lampard Will Sign From Chelsea If He Becomes Crystal Palace Manager

Frank Lampard has been linked with the Crystal Palace managerial position and could raid his former club Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Frank Lampard signature could affect Chelsea's summer transfer plans for the  if he eventually  becomes the next Crystal Palace manager. Four months after being sacked as Chelsea boss, Lampard has reportedly emerged as the favourite candidate  for the Selhurst Park hotseat as the Premier League club considers parting company with Roy Hodgson.

If Lampard were to land the Palace job, he would likely have to make big changes to the Eagles' squad, with 11 players contracts running out in June.

It would not be a  surprise to see 42-year-old raid Stamford Bridge for some of his former players this summer - and that in turn would boost Thomas Tuchel's transfer kitty.

Top of Lampard's shopping list would most likely be Tammy Abraham, with the striker having fallen out of favour under Tuchel.

The 23-year-old was Chelsea's top scorer last season with 17 goals in all competitions, having also played under Lampard on loan at Derby County.

With Tuchel expected to go for Erling Haaland or Romelu Lukaku this summer, his funds could be boosted to the tune of around £40m from the sale of Abraham - and Lampard would likely be at the front of the queue.

Billy Gilmour is another player who could join Lampard in South London, although it would likely be on loan.

The 19-year-old has had more action in recent weeks as Chelsea compete on three fronts, but Tuchel may decide he would benefit from a season of more regular first-team football rather than competing with N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic for a place.

That would free up a space in Chelsea's squad for another midfielder, with Declan Rice, Ruben Neves and Eduardo Camaving among potential targets.
