Meet Anderson Daronco Dubbed the World's Strongest Referee with Big Muscles (Photos)

Is Anderson Daronco  the World's Strongest Referee

In a game of soccer, all attention is always on the best players and the entertainment that comes with it. And it's not always the case that a referee becomes the center of attraction. However, Brazilian Referee, Anderson Daronco who officiates in Brazil's top division as well as international games, has gone viral on social media for his physique.

Photos of Anderson Daronco spread on social media recently, leaving fans dumbfounded at the size of his biceps and triceps muscles.

The 41-year-old referee born and lives in Maria, Rio Grande do Su, Southern part of  Brazil was former Physical Education teacher and instructor.

His body build has made him to be referred to as the World Strongest Referee. No wonder he is nicknamed ‘Juiz Fortao’ – or the ‘Strong Judge’ in English Language. He is so huge that players would think twice before challenging his decision-making on the pitch.

Many soccer lovers are surprised that such a big bodied referee actually exists. Even able-bodied hulk was calm in front of him.

However, Daronco has said that he does not try to frighten players with his tricep and bicep muscles  but  wants respect for his refereeing performances, not his body structure.

“I don’t like this business of measuring myself,” he told El Globo in 2017.

“Respect comes from the way I treat players and everyone involved.”

Daronco has come well on that statement on several occasions. He was praised by many pundits and football fans across the globe in 2019 when he intelligently stopped a match due to homophobic chanting from the crowd during a Brazilian top-flight game between Vasco Da Gama and Sao Paulo.

In the year 2017, he weighed 90 kilogram, after losing about 3 to 4 kilogram, due to the advice of committees and physical instructors who cautioned and advised him to reduce the extra weight to avoid problems in his refereeing career in the future. With his weight he is able to run 40 meters in less than six seconds and trains practically every day due to his job.

The question now is will he  be at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar?

Possibly so we’ll be seeing more of him at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
