As usual, on every Premier league match weekdays, we drop our predictions against different guests. This time we are taking on a die-hard Manchester United fan, Kingsley Ibeto who has been supporting Manutd since 2004.
SATURDAY
After losing three consecutive games, Arsenal as usual won when you do not expected them to do so. They outplayed Chelsea at Stamford bridge. That win will surely boost their confidence against Manchester United in the race for the top 4. On the other hand, Manutd were battered against title-chasing Klopp's liverpool. United were exposed.
Leicester City has not been in fine form. The Foxes have been conceding late goals which is not good for their morale. They are not scoring the goals either. While Aston Villa are on a bad run of four consecutive defeats but they have had a couple of weeks off since they were hammered at home by Tottenham.
Man City v Watford (15:30 PM)
The question is how many goals will City score Watford and not whether they will win. Every match looks like a final for Guadiola. The last time both side met at Etihad in 2019 Watford conceded 8 goals. I don't see how the Hornets can defend against the Citizens.
Norwich v Newcastle (15:30 PM)
The win for the Magpies against Crystal Palace cemented their place in the Premier League next season. This does not necessarily mean that they will relax. They still have something to prove away from home because their record away is bad all season. Norwich were unlucky not snatch a dramatic draw against Manutd last weekend. If they are to miraculously stay up, they need to win a game like this one, but I do not see them taking all three points.
Brentford v Tottenham (18:30 PM)
The Bees have won their past three games, while Tottenham Hostpur lost in a painful manner at the dieing minute against the Seagulls last time out, just when they were gathering momentum. Tottenham need the point badly to boost their top four hope especially now their rivals, Manutd and Arsenal are playing against each other earlier on Saturday. This is a big opportunity for them to improve their situation.
SUNDAY
Brighton has won just once in this fixture (9 Premier League) meetings against The Saints at Saint Mary stretching back to 2017.
Burnley v Wolves (15:00)
Burnley got a great result against Southampton during the week and not only a win, they put in a really good performance as well. They are almost close to fourth-bottom Everton who will play Liverpool in a fierce derby. It will surely be huge to Burnley.
Chelsea v West Ham (15:00)
Chelsea were too open at the back against youthful Arsenal on midweek, which was strange to see.
West Ham have got a very important to play on Thursday - Europa League semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt. The Hammers however, have a week to rest before the game. Moreover, they are still in contention to finish in top four. So they will throw themselves in the game, atleast to keep their morale high.
Liverpool v Everton (16:30)
This a Merseyside Derby, and its not gonna be a bye for Liverpool. Tackles will fly in. Cards will be distributed. Frank Lampard's team have shown some signs of progress in their past two games but, defensively, I still don't think they have what it takes to contain Liverpool frightening attack.
Leeds United are not quite safe yet, they have to be solid at the back. The way they attack has made them vulnerable at the back.
New manager, Jesse Marsch lost his first two games after taking over from Marcelo Bielsa at the start of March, but since then he has won three and drawn one. That is a sign of staying up. I hope they do. But Zaha and co. will cause a lot of problem for them.
