Congratulations to Real Madrid for clinching their 35th LA Liga title after after defeating Espanyol at the new Santiago Bernabue.
Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti just put his name in the history books again as he became the first coach to win domestic title in all five major leagues across Europe.
And that's the Serie A, EPL, bundesliga, French Ligue 1 and now finally, the Spanish la Liga which he didn't win with real Madrid in his last spell although he gave them the much desired and anticipated “La decima”.
Everybody is praising the players and the manager for the league title Real Madrid won this season. Real Madrid are also alive in the UCL after having to defeat star-studded PSG, and defending champions Chelsea on the way to the semis where they are currently battling against the one of the two best clubs in the world.
Pintus The Unsung Hero At Real Madrid
Real Madrid are still on top of their game after a tiring season. The same team crippled to injuries in a similarly tiring last season and failed to win any trophy. There were more than 60 injuries to various players last season. However, the injuries are limited this season all thanks to Antonio Pintus, the fitness coach. Florentino Pérez brought Pintus back from Inter before the start of the season.
Pintus made the players do drills that improved their fitness. Even Gareth Bale was fit almost throughout the season. Luka Godric’s immense longevity is due to Pintus. Part of the reason why Ancelotti's playing 11 lacked rotation was because he trusted in Pintus and his fitness drills.
Real Madrid have already won two titles this season and while we celebrate the fact that Ancelotti became the first manager to win all five leagues titles and rep Benzema for the Ballon d'or, let's not forget that Antonio Pintus is undoubtedly the unsung hero of the club.
