Manchester City came from behind with 20 minutes remaining to beat Aston Villa and seal the Premier League as their title chances looked to be slipping away amid dramatic scenes at Etihad Stadium.
Crowd Invade etihad after seal the league |
An unscripted drama of the best kind. Once again, we saw why the English Premier League is the best football league on the planet. Manchester City came back from 2–0 to win it 3–2 on the final day of the season.
Nobody. Not one soul thought they could turn it around after Aston Villa scored the second goal!! As soon as the 2nd goal by Villa went it, people spammed with posts of Man City bottling again, but Pep's boys didn't give them even 5 minutes to exist on the internet. Is Etihad a stadium of miracle? I wouldn't like to call it that, but they've done it twice. Took them 10 years to rewrite a similar story. I am stunned!!
Spurs and Arsenal both scored 5 goals each, but only 1 team will play the Champions League and it's got Kane and Son on it. What a journey for the Spurs. Conte, indeed is a magician!
Arsenal head on to Europa League!
On a side note, Man City killed off the last 5 minutes on the sidelines wasting time. Something they could've done to Real Madrid, but I guess that's how you improvise.
City did need those three points as Liverpool beat Wolverhampton Wanderers - with City boss Guardiola overcome with emotion and breaking down in tears at the final whistle.
One the other hand, Liverpool came back from 1–0 to win it 3–1, however it wasn't enough for them to be in the conversation for the quadruple. However, the Scousers could still go on to win the treble!! Real Madrid are you watching?

Manchester United will thank Brighton for helping them qualify for the Europa League, as the Seagulls beat West Ham, sending them into the Conference League play-offs!!
