Until Saturday 28 May, 2022 there were only 9 player who have won the Champions league when it was created in the 50s, while since it was rebranded to UEFA Champions League, Cristiano Ronaldo was the only player in history to have won the tournament five times.
But after his former club Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0 in the 2022 final, Ronaldo is now one of TEN five-time UCL winners.
Benzema, Casemiro, Carvajal, Kroos and Modric started Saturday's final, while Nacho, Bale, Isco and Marcelo were unused substitutes in Paris.
Despite not featuring in the final, Marcelo was the first player to lift the trophy.
