Real Madrid Reveals Reasons Why They Didn't Sign Haaland
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says Man City striker Erling Haaland would only make their bench.
Perez told El Chiringuito: “Mbappe deal didn’t create any problem with Haaland deal, absolutely. We have Benzema, so it was impossible to have him with Karim. “
“We can’t sign Haaland to stay on the bench. Haaland is an amazing, fantastic player." he added.
Benzema has been in spectacular form over the past few seasons and registered an incredible 44 goals and 15 assists in just 46 games during the 2021/22 campaign. This form has positioned him as a frontrunner for the 2022 Ballon d'Or.
