See Reasons Why Ronaldo Wants To Leave Manutd
Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League this season, which means qualification for the Europa League. Ronaldo doesn't do the Europa League, but I think someone should tell him that winning it automatically grants you a place in the Champions League, which makes it a good trophy...
But, according to the Times, Ronaldo believes he still has 3-4 years left at a top level club in the Champions League...
Ten Hag has a massive rebuild ahead of him, and Ronaldo doesn't want to be at a rebuilding club; he wants to be at a club that is ready for success now, not one that is planning for the future.
I understand Ronaldo's desire to win the Champions League again, and I know he realizes he won't be able to accomplish so at Manchester United anytime soon.
I'm sorry to dash his hopes, but what club wants him?
Let's think about this logically, shall we? He's 37 years old, makes a tremendous salary that would destroy any rational football club's wage structure, and doesn't really fit the playing style of a lot of top clubs that rely on a team collective; when you have Ronaldo, you have to adjust to him, not the other way around.
I admire Ronaldo, I think he's a proven winner and a phenomenal athlete who can play for another 4 years due of his fitness, but practically, PSG is the only team that can get him, but with Mbappe's outrageous cost, wedging Ronaldo wouldn't really work...
Of course, he could accept a wage cut and join Sporting, but the Premeira Liga isn't on the same level as the Premier League.
There has been rumors of a move to Bayern, but Bayern have ruled out any chance, unless of course Lewandowski quits, which seems unlikely given Bayern's commitment to keeping him.
United wants to keep him, and Ten Hag wants to work with him... But if he wants to leave for champions league dreams, I don't blame him, but I'm just wondering who will take him considering his age and salary.
Ronaldo does not want to spend the rest of his career playing at a level below his ability... A move away is motivated by desire, but he has a year left on his United deal and I don't see what club would take him.
Of course, there is still a lot of time remaining in the window, and anything can happen, but no team appears to be interested in signing Ronaldo right now.
We'll see what happens.
