Shocking video shows a surgeon attempting to remove a live snake from a woman's ear.

A video of the surgery went viral after it was shared by an Indian celebrity.

"The snake has gone in the ear," reads the caption to the bizarre Facebook clip.

According to the Economic Times, it is unclear where, when, or how this unfortunate event occurred.

An alleged medical practitioner can be seen in the nearly four-minute video using tweezers in a desperate attempt to extract a black and yellow snake from a female patient's ear.

The video concludes without revealing whether the surgery was successful or not.
